Toulouse 3-2 Le Havre: Tengstedt double gives M. Debeve a lift, but Le Havre make Toulouse sweat

Toulouse got the win they needed on Saturday, but not the calm finish M. Debeve would have wanted. A 3-2 victory over Le Havre at Stadium Municipal was built in two fierce minutes after the interval, protected by Guillaume Restes, then secured by Thomas Jørgensen when D. Digard’s side threatened to turn the match.

Casper Tengstedt was the first decisive figure. He scored from the penalty spot in the 49th minute, then scored again in the 51st minute after Jørgensen’s assist. That changed the match. Toulouse had possession, territory and the cleaner central structure, but the scoreboard only started to move when Tengstedt made their pressure count.

Le Havre did not fold. D. Why Toulouse won

Tengstedt gave Toulouse the cutting edge. He finished with two goals, five shots and a penalty scored. He was not just present; he was the match’s first major separator.

Jørgensen was the other key man. He provided an assist in the 51st minute, scored in the 79th minute, made three key passes and gave Le Havre another runner to track from midfield. When the match tilted after Maja’s goal, Jørgensen’s contribution restored Toulouse’s margin.

Cásseres mattered too. His assist for Jørgensen in the 79th minute was part of a broader midfield performance: 78 passes, three key passes and a steady hand when Toulouse needed control.

Restes also cannot be left out. Le Havre had seven shots on goal, and Restes made five saves. In a 3-2 match, that is not background detail. It is the difference between a hard win and a damaging collapse.

Le Havre’s response was real, but late
